I was really excited to get this shirt! The look online was great and know it was Nike, I knew the quality I could expect. It arrived and I was really happy with it, the only issue was how pronounced, extra, and over the top the collar on the shirt is. The style of the mesh patterned crop and a really defined black collar with the Nike swoosh embroidered on just don’t mesh well together. The collar is way too harsh and traditional for a modern cool shirt. The collar makes it so that I don’t know when I’d exactly wear it because the mix of the two styles just doesn’t make sense. It didn’t look like that on the model but does look that on me, so maybe I’m just overly aware and self conscience about it. The idea of wearing a sports bra underneath a polo shirt is kind of a miss match to me. The quality is really good and the pattern of the shirt is really cute. It washes well and will continue to wear nicely. Overall there’s a lot of possibility here if you can rock the collar, I’m just not sure I can.

The Nike Lace Street Polo is not what I expected. It did fit well but the lace was very rough. The collar was extremely stiff and was poking me in the neck. Overall I was not at all comfortable wearing the polo. I did not care for the design, is it a polo or a work out shirt? This polo is definitely not for business casual as the lace was extremely revealing. I would change the stiffness of the collar and soften the lace material. Lastly I would have liked it better if the lace was more tightly knit.

This polo is a roomy and relaxed option with an intricate lace design. From the first wear, I noticed how lightweight and breathable the fabric felt, along with its boxy fit that keeps me cool during the hot sticky summer weather and humidity. The size XS is TTS - the polo is a looser fit and pairs comfortably with any bra or regular tank underneath. If you like exaggerated styles, I’d recommend sizing up for an overstated look. Since the polo is perfect for summer, I would pair it with cutoffs and bright sneakers. One standout feature is the all-over mesh lace pattern that incorporates the iconic Nike check branding. It’s a subtle design with the logo without being overtly loud. The one thing that I would change is the polo collar. It feels very heavy compared to the rest of the lightweight top. I would remove it and make it a regular shirt collar or even better a v-neck, with a light fabric that is more like the lace fabric instead. The heavier collar completely disrupts the feel, so that’s a big design miss for me. Otherwise, the style is a great addition to my closet to stay stylish and cool in hot weather.
