Race 312 is a relay by Chicago, for Chicago. Our city, our code, our race. Days before the marathon, three runners team up for a 6K in Chicago's West Loop.

Three runners. Three distances. All in. 

When the sun goes down on the Friday of marathon weekend, Race 312 lights up. In a relay trekking the West Loop, the first runner sets the tone with a 3K leg, passing the baton to a second runner, who heats things up with a 1K. The third runner races the final leg, with a 2K push to take it to the finish line.  

When the last heat wraps, the after-party begins. Enjoy the best of the city with food and drinks from Chicago's very own, plus DJ performances and limited-edition merch.

  • Runner Registration: This page is used to join an existing team and register as a Runner. If you are looking to create a team and register as a Captain, please navigate to the Captain Registration page HERE.
  • Event Overview:
  • 5:00pm Check-in Begins
  • 6:00pm Festivities Begin
  • 6:30-7:15pm Women's Race
  • 7:35-8:20pm Co-Ed Race
  • 8:45-9:30pm Men's Race
  • 10:00pm Event Finishes
  • Runners must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prize Money: The winning team of each division will be awarded with $1,500. $500 per Person.
  • Bag Drop: Bag Drop will be available for participants during the event.
  • Packet Pick-Up: Relay Captains will pick-up the packets on the team's behalf. 
  • The event is located at 1810 W Lake Street. Those taking public transit should navigate to the Damen Green Line Station. Driving is not recommended due to limited parking in the area.
  • IDs will be required for Relay Captains to pick-up their team’s packet and for all participants to check-in on-site.
  • If you have friends or family coming to watch the event, make sure they register as a spectator for the event. Please note that spots are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

  • By attending the event, you may be photographed and filmed by NIKE or its affiliates; you hereby grant NIKE the right to use such recording in connection with the event and any promotion thereof.
