I absolutely love my mules. They might be a little small for someone with wider or thicker feet (I have narrow and thin feet) so they may run on the top of your foot, but after 2 weeks, they've softened and loosened. I wear them without the strap as I found it annoying to put on. I'm usually a 38 and bought size 7
