- The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. I can see why these were marked down. You can see right through them! We got the white- these would not be appropriate to wear as everyday shorts to school, unless the child wore leggings or spandex shorts underneath. Not sure my son would double layer like that for even soccer practice so I may have to return them.
