The winterized Pegasus Trail 5 provides wet-weather protection for trail running. A waterproof GORE-TEX upper, an all-terrain outsole and reflective design details help you comfortably take on the elements. With a ReactX foam midsole, it gives you responsive cushioning for an energised ride. This special design sends you to the South Kaibab Trail in the Grand Canyon, as part of our ongoing #IYKYK series.
GORE-TEX upper
A waterproof GORE-TEX upper and 3D-print toe cap help keep water out so your feet stay dry.
ATC outsole
The Nike Trail ATC outsole is made from an all-terrain compound that's great even in wet weather.
ReactX midsole
The ReactX foam midsole gives you lightweight energy return.
Behind the design
An inscription of one the trail's gnarly switchbacks heading down to the Canyon is hand-drawn on the tongue top. The sockliners are detailed with some of the South Kaibab's more memorable trail markers and the ever-present mules. Keep your eyes peeled for upper graphics that nod to the desert's prickly plants. The pops of purple speak to the trail's super-bright cacti.
