The Jordan Essential Statement Chicago men's shorts are certainly stylish, but the fabric is not the comfiest. The fit of these shorts is true to size, but the fabric makes it feel like they run small. I was actually, a bit concerned at first they were going to be very baggy, but that was not the case. These shorts feel rigid. Almost like you don't have much room to move around. While standing they feel fine, but as soon as you sit down they feel stiff. I like the design overall. I think the elastic band is a good addition to the shorts. It gives them some flexibility. I love all the pockets, but the two front pockets should be deeper. It felt like things were going to fall out if I put something in. The drawstrings are a great idea as well. Although, I would have like the string on the outside. The metal tips would look like a cool accessory on the shorts. The fabric is too rigid. I think maybe after a few more wears and a few washes they might feel more relaxed. I liked the most that these shorts are relaxed and that I can wear them with a variety of clothing. I was worried about them being too rigid to wear them all day, but I can see myself wearing them for several hours. I would really change the fabric. Something more elastic would help these shorts feel more comfortable.

Really thick material that may be a bit warm/heavy for regular, casual summer wear, but might be helpful when extra padding is wanted or needed (e.g., skateboarding). Features both an elastic waistband and drawstring to ensure the right fit. My favorite feature is the hidden pocket near the bottom of each side. Hard to see but surprisingly roomy for anything you want to keep extra secure. Overall, a high-quality, nice-looking pair of shorts. I’ll likely wear these more in the fall once the temperature cools down a bit and the thicker material will be quite welcome.
