These didn’t fit my son so I can’t speak to how they wear during play, but the fabric feels super lightweight. They seem like a good option for hot summer days and running around outside, or playing sports. I do wish they had a liner as thats something I personally would prefer in this style of shorts… but overall I really like the lightweight feel and sporty look, but would have loved that extra layer.

My 8 year old son loves these shorts. He takes a ninja class (at a gymnastics gym) and these shorts are perfect for it. They’re comfortable and don’t get in the way. He also likes to wear them to sleep because they’re so comfortable. They run possibly a little big but they have a drawstring so they work great and that makes them small enough.

My active son loves these shorts! He is more of a string bean, so my favorite part has been the thick waistband that actually holds shape and structure. He’s nearly 4, and so many children shorts his size are loosely made, or with no drawstring. I love the structure of these shorts and length! He wore the shorts to the play-park and they held up; never fell down, waistband did not stretch out as they got pulled, and he didn’t get too hot! The strings are in this inside of the waist, so they don’t hang down the front of the shirt. That was a little feature I appreciated because it helped them never get tugged. My son has also loved the design and says they remind him of his favorite superhero!
