Global Photo Project

95 is a collaborative photo project featuring four photographers from around the globe, each exploring how the Air Max 95 functions within their cities today.
The result is a visual compilation stitched together by daily rituals, local scenes and personal connections.
What follows in this thread is a selection of their work and a representation of the full project, which has been captured in a printed book.

London

Finlay Flint

When I shoot, it's about the people around me—the friends I grew up with, the ones shaping London's creative identity. Painters, photographers, designers, musicians—we all move through the same spaces. The Air Max 95 has always been a part of that. It's something we grew up with and it's still here. This series is about capturing that—the people, the details and the everyday moments that connect us. It's a look at London, through my eyes.

Tokyo

RLSWYZE

Through these images, I hope to show how the Air Max 95 lives in this city—woven into the everyday chaos, into the dreams of young people, into the inherited culture, the empty spaces and the fragments of a past left behind.
A city that flashes by like memory, layered—caught somewhere between what was and what could be.
And I am very much a part of that chaos.

Los Angeles

Justin Cole Smith

Los Angeles doesn't move in a straight line. Just when you think you understand it, it vanishes and reappears as something else. It is a collection of private worlds bumping up against each other—divided by freeways, hidden behind closed doors and shrouded in dreams.
These photos act as dispatches from a place both iconic and deeply personal. They are postcards from my LA—glimpses into the intimate spaces of friends, creative realms and unscripted moments that stitch together the day-to-day.
Like the city, the Air Max 95 shows up as an icon, built on the ability to resist definition.

Newcastle

Jack Rudder

Newcastle's gritty, industrial environment helped foster a rich punk and grunge scene in the 1980s and 1990s, providing fertile ground for emerging bands and DIY venues.
I've been involved in Newcastle Hardcore for ten years, and documenting the community here has become a central part of my life. Through the good times and the hard, I've never felt more at home. In photographing my direct community, I hope not only to archive this era, but to also inspire the next generations to uphold the same values, ethics and integrity.
From my first show until now, you'd find it hard to spot a shoe other than the Air Max 95 in the pit. It's more than an iconic silhouette. To us, it's a way to identify those who are down with the style and understand the world like we do.
