I bought this bag to replace one I owned previously, the new model has slightly heavier (recycled)material and a large side pocket that extends into the bag. Personally I prefer the old lightweight bag without the extended pocket. This size of bag is ideal as hand baggage on a plane as it is easier to carry than a suitcase. This bag is OK for sports if you have to carry sporrs shoes towel kit etc.
