  • Trail Running

    Pegasus Runner

As a longtime Pegasus fan, I couldn't wait to try the ACG GTX trail version — and it did not disappoint! These shoes have become a fantastic addition to my collection, perfect for trail days when there's a good chance of splashing through a stream or two. The Gore-Tex lining keeps my feet dry and comfortable while still letting them breathe, so I can already tell these will be my go-to pick once winter brings wetter conditions. The traction on the soles is super grippy, handling sandy and leafy sections of trail with ease. I also love the gaiter around the ankle, which does a great job keeping rocks and debris out. One small note: these run slightly smaller than the traditional Pegasus, likely due to the Gore-Tex lining, so I'd recommend sizing up. That said, it's a minor tradeoff for a shoe this reliable — if you're looking for a trail companion that can handle wet, messy conditions without missing a beat, the ACG GTX is well worth adding to your rotation.

  • Not my favorite

The fit of this shoe is very average. I would neither consider these comfortable nor uncomfortable. Walking around and running errands is just fine, but I expected more comfort than that of a casual shoe. I wouldn’t recommend exercising in these shoes despite giving an exercise-friendly vibe. I really did not like the ankle support on this shoe. I found the extra material around the ankle to be irritating and quite frankly, kind of goofy. I’m sure there are practical uses for something like this, but the extra material around the ankle alone drove me away from this shoe. I wouldn’t wear them casually in public or try to style them with any outfits I would wear out in public. Aside from the ankle material, the shoe is average. I could go either way with these. They look like hundreds of other Nike shoe designs and don’t seem to be anything special. The quality of the materials of the shoe is fine. The sole and midsole seem to be a sturdy material, however the upper part of the shoe has a weird material that I don’t commonly see on shoes. It’s kind of light and rubbery, which likely enhances the athletic performance of the athlete wearing the shoes. It looks pretty good and is lightweight. Overall, the shoes are just okay. It’s a fine shoe, but one I likely won’t wear often due to the odd ankle material. If not for this one detail, I would maybe wear them out occasionally. I wouldn’t necessarily change anything else about the shoe, it’s fine and great for some.

  • Comfortable

My husband wore these to hike around and go fishing. These shoes are snug but not tight. The back rim part of the shoes is an elastic material so it didn't hurt. These fit ture to size, if you have wide feet it's probably going to feel tight. The insoles feels nice and cushioned so it was comfortable walking around. It's suppose to be waterproof but he hasn't tested that yet. Overall these shoes will now be the go to shoes for hiking and fishing.
