Blazer Mid '77 'Slam Jam'
Behind The Design
Nine months after the white Blazer Mid ’77 ‘Slam Jam’ comes this almost-perfect inverse: a black Blazer that keeps its OG white sole—and celebrates the rebel with a playful upside-down Swoosh.

A CLASSIC, REINVENTED.
We partnered with Italian powerhouse Slam Jam with the aim to reinvent a classic—and the Blazer was the natural choice. A basketball shoe adopted by skateboarders and other subcultures, it was one of the first shoes that bridged sport and street culture.

MULTI-FACETED
Much like the white version, its subtle off-tones give the silhouette a new depth, with a patchwork of tactile materials, including canvas on one side and different leathers on the other, representing the dialogue between old and new.

OLD-SCHOOL
The shoe’s only pop of colour can be found on the tongue, with the OG Blazer label in classic Nike Orange. The design is completed by the wrinkled nu-buck heel panels, featuring the words ‘CLASS’ and ‘1977’ in the aged screenprint font from the original.
