  • These shoes started falling apart in 4 months. Not for high intensity workouts.

    I have always liked Nike Metcons for there style and durability, the style of these are great but I can’t say the same about the durability. If you want a shoe that looks great and you don’t do a lot of intense workouts these are for you. If you train hard steer clear of until the figure out a new model. I owned these for about 4 months and the bottom of the shoe near the heel completely wore off so now the plastic heel is completely exposed. Definitely not a big fan of the clunky plastic heel. Overall I expected better quality from the Metcon name like in the past but these shoes are not what I anticipated they would be.

    I bought Nike Metcon 7 in late November 2021 - have been wearing them to the gym 3-4x a week. A few days ago I realised there is a sizeable and very visible hole in the mesh on one of them, I suspect the same will appear on the other sneaker too. I read similar reviews here. This is very very disappointing. Much lower than expected quality.

    I have been using the Metcon 1 shoes for my workouts for several years until they were stolen out of my car a few months ago. I ordered these Metcon 7s to replace them and they are a HUGE upgrade from the 1s. My feet feel planted in all my workouts, the velcro lace strap is a nice addition, and the overall construction of this shoe is great. It is sturdy yet just flexible enough and very comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes for weight training!
