We released the Adapt BB, the self-lacing basketball shoe, along with its companion Adapt App in 2019. After five years, we're retiring the Adapt App and removing it from the Apple and Android app stores, globally, on 6 August 2024.
Don't worry, your Adapt shoes will continue to work without the app. See below for more information about the retirement of the Adapt App.
We've had a long and successful run with our Adapt shoes and ushering in auto-lacing footwear tech. However, we are no longer creating new versions of Adapt shoes.
If you already have the Adapt App installed, it should continue to function. You'll still be able to enjoy changing lights, lacing your shoes, setting personalised fits, gesture detection and smart commands.
However, you won't be able to move the app to a new device, and future iOS updates may limit or end functionality, or may completely remove the app from your device.
Yes. You can manually lace your Adapt shoes without the app, but you'll lose access to lighting and the ability to lace the shoes using your phone.
Yes, your shoes will keep the light pack you selected last. If you didn't install the app, light will be the default colour.
