Nike Legend Essential 2

I think these shoes were just ok. Firstly, the things I liked were the design (exterior), size fit, and weight of the shoes. The design was very sleek yet simple. I felt I could wear it with any casual/workout outfit. The size was perfect. I’m usually a 6.5-7, but I went off of Nike’s measurements and the 6.5 fit perfectly. Lastly, the shoes were very lightweight which was a plus because bulky shoes are never comfortable to begin with. Though they’re lightweight, I felt they were overall an average level of durability from my experience. Additionally, I appreciated the grip on the bottom of the shoes as I felt they helped with traction. Now for the things I didn’t like, they included the overall fit of the shoes and the length of time wearing it. The overall fit wasn’t the most comfortable. Upon initial wear, it felt comfortable. However, I went for a walk outside with my family (temp was about 67° and sunny) and within 15 mins, my feet were burning up inside! I felt like they weren’t getting any air. Additionally, the cushioning inside isn’t that padded/soft, it’s average. Within 25 mins of walking, I was dying to get back home! I’m giving the sneakers the benefit of the doubt as I’ve only been wearing them a week, and it’s gotten a bit better, but compared to some of my other sneakers, I felt I had to “break in” these more.

These shoes are very comfortable and as someone with weak ankles, I really enjoy the wider heel. The design is simple enough to look good during a workout or wear with jeans to the movies. The fabric is very breathable and held up to quite a few long walks and CrossFit-style workouts. I walked a couple times in light rain and my feet stayed dry. The shoes (like many from Nike) run a little narrow and the toe box is a little longer than other sneakers I wear. I have high arches so I took out the footpad and replaced it with my orthotics without any issues. Overall I am enjoying these shoes and don’t foresee any issues with wearing them all day.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to try out these shoes! These shoes are very comfortable; the phrase, “fits like a glove” comes to mind each time I put these shoes on. These shoes run small and feel very snug: I typically wear a size 5 1/2, these shoes are a size 6 and feel like a perfect fit. These shoes provide an ease of movement. They are great for walking and for short, quick sprints. One complaint about these shoes is that I don’t feel that my feet are particularly protected when wearing these shoes. I have two young children and when they step on my feet, or run over my feet with a tricycle or bicycle, or throw a ball and hit my foot with it, I feel it as though I weren’t wearing anything and it hurts! I’m also not wild about a white sole as it’s hard to keep clean.
