ROX BROWN

ROX BROWN

Not many creatives in NYC have hustle like Rox Brown. Though no day in her life is typical, you’ll find her up and moving at 7am everyday, having completed more than most before the city wakes up. She likes to take on the day with “not a bad attitude, but a big attitude and focused” in her words. This attitude is apparent in her approach to customizing a 1-of-a-kind NFL jersey at the Nike Soho Jersey Suite.

Rox Brown’s family moved to New York from Jamaica when she was 6 years old.

“Growing up, New York was always about Jersey culture. Chicago Bulls Jerseys were all I wanted because of Michael Jordan. Fabolous was one of the greatest rappers representing New York, and he had the most coveted Jersey collection.” she recalls reflecting on her childhood in the city and what influences her.

It’s no surprise that be it NFL or NBA, a jersey is just as much an effortless layering piece in her wardrobe as a white tee shirt. “You used to see Jerseys on women when they were purely tailored to be dresses in the early 2000’s. I like to think of my Jersey as something that can be added to accentuate any outfit ― even a pantsuit.”

Never not pushing style and culture forward, Rox Brown sets the tone for how Jerseys come to life in 2017 and beyond. You can customize your own by booking an appointment with an in-store athlete at Nike Soho, or calling 646-850-9682.
