ผมมีปัญหาที่โรงเรียนหลายอย่าง พ่อแม่ผมก็ไม่ค่อยพูดภาษาฝรั่งเศสนัก จึงไม่มีใครเลยที่ยื่นมือช่วยเหลือ” Ferhat นึกย้อน “ตอนนั้นค่อนข้างลำบากเพราะใครที่เข้าโรงเรียนหลังเพื่อน จะโชคร้ายเป็นคนที่ถูกทิ้งไว้ข้างหลังครับ” Ferhat พูดต่อไป “ซึ่งในเวลานั้นเองที่ผมได้เริ่มเล่นฟุตบอล ผมเริ่มมีเพื่อนคนแรกๆ ที่ทุกวันนี้ก็ยังคงช่วยเหลือกัน ฟุตบอลเป็นวิธีหลบหนีที่ทำให้รู้สึกว่าตัวเองเป็นอิสระและไม่รู้สึกเหมือนเป็นคนแปลกแยกครับ”  Ferhat อยากให้ฟุตบอลมีบทบาทที่คล้ายคลึงกันนี้กับเด็กๆ ในชุมชนของเขา ในช่วง 6 ปีที่ผ่านมา Ferhat ได้ขยายสโมสร Paris Alésia FC จากที่มีเด็ก 80 คน กลายเป็นมีมากกว่า 700 คน และในฤดูกาลล่าสุด ทางสโมสรได้ริเริ่มโปรแกรมสำหรับเด็กผู้หญิงโดยเฉพาะภายในเมือง ซึ่งเจาะจงไปที่นักเตะอายุไม่เกิน 12 ปีและนำโดยโค้ชผู้หญิงอย่างสมบูรณ์ Ferhat กล่าวว่า ฟุตบอลคือสิ่งที่นำทุกคนมาอยู่รวมกันและสอนบทเรียนในการใช้ชีวิต บทเรียนที่ตัวเขาเองก็ได้เรียนรู้บนสนาม “ฟุตบอลทำให้สเตเดียมนี้กลับมามีชีวิต ฟุตบอลเปลี่ยนชีวิตของเด็กหลายคน ฟุตบอลเปลี่ยนชีวิตผมครับ” Ferhat กล่าว “ฟุตบอลเป็นรูปแบบหนึ่งของการแสดงออก ‘ที่นี่ พวกเธอจะได้เติบโต’ เราบอกเด็กๆ แค่นั้นครับ” ในซีรีส์ใหม่ของเรา “เริ่มต้นจากพื้นฐาน”
