My favorite running shoes

KaitlinS431587898 - Jul 26, 2021

These are the best running shoes I've found in the last couple years. I've probably returned about 6 pairs of shoes this running season as I've been increasing to 200-300 mile months and haven't found any shoes with great, lasting support like these. Definitely think these have helped support me in increased training and have kept me injury free. Bought almost 2 months ago now and still offering great support. Will definitely order additional pairs/colors soon.

The Shoes I Wanted to Love

Sarah L. - Jul 15, 2021

These running shoes are the shoes I wanted to love. I read about them in a Runner's World feature and thought they would be perfect for me, as they are a max cushion shoe. I've struggled with Achilles tendinitis due to very high arches and needed something to help absorb impact. At first, these were amazing. I put them on and did a little test jog - it felt like running on little trampolines, and I felt that it dramatically reduced impact forces to my legs. However, when I went for a 3 mile run, the toe box quickly became uncomfortably tight and squeezed the balls of my feet. By the last half mile, my toes were going numb and I had to stop frequently to stop and wiggle them around. I did think about sizing up (I've always been a 7.5 in NIkes, but these seemed a little snug), but I'm not sure that would solve the problem. It seemed to be more where the forefoot cushioning hit the balls of my feet. I'm so disappointed, but I will have to send these ones back. (Note, I don't have a super wide foot, but I usually do prefer some good room in the toe box).

So much cushion, like walking on clouds. The design is very supportive which is good for daily runners. However, they do wear out quicker than expected. I run about 5 days a week and after 1.5 months there was a rip starting between the foam sole and the upper part. The rip got worse over time and after about 2.5 months I let them go. Which isn’t very long compared to my other Nike running shoes.
