      How This Was Made

      • This product was responsibly designed utilizing recycled materials from post-consumer and/or post-manufactured waste. One of our biggest steps on our journey to zero carbon and zero waste is in choosing our materials because they account for more than 70% of any product’s footprint. By reusing existing plastics, yarns, and textiles, we significantly reduce our emissions. Our goal is to use as much recycled materials as possible without compromising on performance, durability and style.

        I HAVE TO ORDER MENS IN ORDER TO GET THE WIDTH TO FIT MY AFO. I AGREE WITH OTHER REVIEWERS ABOUT THE ZIPPER BEING FUNKY. THE ZIPPER TAB ITS SELF NEEDS TO BE FREE SO THAT YOU CAN EASILY ZIP THE SHOE, NOT SEWN INTO THE LOCK FLAP. PLEAse keep the design for those of us that need adaptable shoes but please just alter the zipper.

        Oh, I am so sad! The new zipper on these is SO hard to pull and cannot even follow the zipper track all the way open because it is so poorly designed. The Flyease 5 extra wide has been my go to show for my adolescent son who wears AFO's, I was overjoyed to have found a pair of shoes designed perfectly for orthotics, and would be a life long customer, but this new design is not functional and the way the zipper sits inside the shoe when zipped grinds into the side of the foot. The tongue of the shoe folds in and is cheaper material...does not stay put. I am torn about sending them back, because I don't know what else my son's orthotics will fit in. Still, these are a pain. Please, Please, Please, go back to the 5 design, it would be a wonderful way to support the disability community. :)
