Great All Around Shoe

gqnelly - Mar 26, 2021

I have tried everything from Barricades to Vapors to Zooms and everything inbetween. I have to say this shoe is fantastic if you get it to fit correctly. It runs really large (I typically wear a 12 in Nike) and I had to get a size down (11). Once you get the right fit...they are Ferraris. Great stability and lighter than I expected (although not as light as Vapors). I am a big guy (6'2" and 210 lbs) and they feel great for my game. I do like the Zoom GP Turbo, too (I bought a pair at the same time). They feel a little more "plush" but perhaps not as stable. I will do a follow up review after I spend a bit more time on the court.

Just Ok

I've almost exclusively worn Nike tennis shoes but this is the first and likely last pair I'll try from the cage lineup. They are comfortable and stylish, so if that's your biggest concern these will be fine. If you can move/run you might have issues, they aren't as locked down as a shoe with a full booty liner and your foot sliding around inside the shoe can become an issue when on the run out wide, or quickly changing directions. They do seem durable which is nice. I generally blow through shoes in 3-4 months, so the 6 month guarantee is a nice touch; I just don't think I'd want a replacement with the issues I have.

Love the Cage 4!

I switched to Cage 3 from Asics Gel Resolution. My usual size is 10 but I had to get 10.5 to avoid toe bruise issue. It was comfortable and felt it is too big at times. When Cage 4 was released, I read that it runs big. I ordered my size (10) and it fits perfectly! The sock-like inner liner allowed my foot to fit snugly but putting them on is a challenge. I'm hoping it will get better over time. No break-in period needed. No comment on durability yet. So far, I'm loving this pair of shoes and may stock them up.
