Compromises were made to make a shoe with a singular purpose

It's pretty clear that this shoe was not meant to be a top performer in cushioning, comfort, fit, or style. A lot of compromises were made to make this folding shoe a reality. However, if you require a shoe that does not require any hands to put on or take off, this is the one. Don't expect miracles with this shoe, it is simply a shoe designed for greater accessibility. The cushioning isn't fantastic, but it's adequate. The durability remains to be seen, but there is substantial rubber on the outsole. My main concern would be the durability of the innovative elastic band and hinge area. For me at least, it runs true to size and despite lacking laces, it is snug enough with some wiggle room. You decide whether or not these compromises are worth the increased convenience, which entirely depends on your use case. For me, these shoes are fun to put on / take off and I bought them just to see how well this concept performs in the real world.
