Looks wonderful, not supportive or cushioned

I am an adult woman who occasionally buys kids' shoes (I'm a size 8 in Nike women's and a 5.5 in kids'/men's, and these are true to size). I run about 2-3 miles a day, which is the main purpose of my Nikes. I was looking for a replacement for my Nike Joyride shoes, the Joyride Dual Runs, which have been discontinued. They're very cushioned but mine have taken a beating after close to a year of near daily runs. These look super similar in the black colorway - and in fact, the aesthetic is on point. They look expensive, and I find the details more stylish than the adult Joyride shoes. But the soles are flat and hard. Not what me and my stressed shins need in a road running shoe. Will be returning. A shame - they're very cute! If all you want is cute fashion sneakers for walking, these might cut it. If you run every day and are prone to shin splints - nope.
