How long was the development process?
It took over 400 different combinations of chemistry and processing to land the unique composition of the Nike React foam midsole. In addition, we have undertaken 17,000 miles of testing with some of our elite runners and also everyday runners.
Was testing only undertaken in the US or was it undertaken in other countries as well?
Testing was undertaken globally – not just in the US. It is important to test in all conditions and surfaces to ensure it delivers the best performance for the runner.
Which athletes have been involved in the development process?
We have undertaken 17,000 miles of testing with some of our elite runners and also everyday runners. Some of the elite runners include Eliud Kipchoge, Galen Rupp, Evan Jager, Emily Infield and Colleen Quigley.
