How This Was Made

  • The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
  • In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester reduces carbon emissions by up to 30% compared to virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of 1 billion plastic bottles annually from landfills and waterways.

My new go-to choice for foul weather

Definitely succeeds in keeping me comfortable in poor weather. Surprised that the back panel wasn’t the same shell fabric as the rest, but hasn’t been an issue in the rain. The tailored fit means no extra fabric flapping around in the wind. A gym-key pocket somewhere would have been nice, but probably would have cut into how impressively light the pull-over is.

A very good long sleeve running top.

Great too. Bit boxy if you have a big chest. Great balance of lightweight and wind proof in the front.

Awful, avoid

I bought trousers form this range earlier this year and they are one of my all time favourite running purchases, perfect level of warmth and slight water resistance against rain while also allowing your legs to breathe, so when I saw the top on sale I thought I'd be completing the perfect winter running outfit. Sadly not, this top is really poorly thought out. The chest part is completely unbreathable and feels awful once you've sweated in it, and the breathable bit at the back doesn't help. Pros: Looks nice Reflective trim is good Cons: Like wearing a tee shirt with a bin bag pinned to the front Nothing to wipe your face on This may work for light exercise which doesn't involve sweating but it doesn't work for running (might be OK for Prince Andrew)
