Waistband isn't tight but they don't slip out of place. Cooling in hot weather. Nice fit and color.

the crimson is more of a bright melon color in person. i am 5'7' anywhere from 117 to 120 lbs athletic build hour glass shape. i wear a 24 in joes petite jeans. i ordered a small which seemed to be my size. the front of the shorts were nice and light and flowing. the shorts came up to my belly button and were in no way low rise. the back of the shorts are very gimmicky pleated material that i can see serving no function but to make the shorts heavier. i would have rather had the material in the front on the back it. the pleated back also did nothing for my backside looks wise. the waste band is also to thick. The one thing I did like about these is the side slit, which i look for in a running short. the side slit leaves mobility for your leg when running.
