How This Was Made

  • The recycled nylon in Nike products begins as a variety of materials, including recycled carpet and used fish nets. The nylon is cleaned, sorted, and converted into flakes before undergoing chemical or mechanical recycling processes to create new, recycled nylon yarns.
  • Garments that use materials made from recycled nylon reduce carbon emissions by up to 50% compared to virgin nylon.

  • Awesome Jacket and Color

We all know Nike Engineers are great at designs, functions and technical surprises. So, let's jump into it. Unless you plan to wear an oversized hoodie underneath this jacket, I would suggest sizing down one full size. I got last year's rope da dope jacket. This jacket is different in many respects: the front zipper is the new one is not as water tight as last year; the outside material is more brushed in the new one; the side pockets in the new one are not zippered, but have a cool inner lining to trap keys and wallet; there is a inside zipper pocket for an iPhone in the new one; the color of blue is very cool; the new jacket has warmth, but it is not as hot as last year's; the new jacket traps body heat less - I would say - so, it breathes a little better; you can cycle, hike, go to the park and outings in both; I use this year's to warm up my golf swing, shoot hoops, play soccer and toss a baseball with children. So, it is a really versatile jacket - and the graphics are nice, too. This is a really good spring weight jacket - that can shield you from wind and rain, too. I have a hunch that Nike will produce other versions over the coming years, as the jacket just fits the transition months from late-winter until late spring (and the autumn, too!). Love this jacket and so practical and useful!
