This is Kukmin University Department of Fashion Design Youngyoung, Subin, Sujin, and Kyeongwon. I get inspired by different characters of people, and a cross-section of society. Sometimes, a person’s emotion or character strikes me as an image in the middle of conversation.

The feelings I had in the relationships with my friends, partner, or family fuel the creative idea of mine. Fashion is a media that gives unique character to the wearer. 

My inspiration goes beyond just a sketch – I interpret the wearer’s emotion, and attitude into the formative elements of a garment such as the silhouette, fabric, and the patterns. 

Abstract form drawn from the mood is what I use for the silhouette. Details follow the unique elements extracted from certain story. 

I get more assured as the process proceeds – the shattered sensations come together to be assembled and make one formative language. I want to be a designer creating my own story in the relationships and good influences between various people. We are going to share these feelings and emotions with more people around.
