I’m Afeez, founder of TrendsByAfeez, 31.
Originally from London, but a globetrotter I would say.

The energy behind the brand is around exploration, connecting with people. The takeaway is to evoke travel.

We have a tagline called « If you saw me, I was never there ».
And where that stems from is not being in one place for too long that someone can predict your next move.

This capsule that we are dropping is created with an updated version of the cargo pants. You have a jersey. We did one hat. We tied it in with the Air Max 95, most specifically the OG colorway.

We brought that shoe in to be the central reference, because if you look at the name: OG. It’s like: original. It’s like: the first.

And these were all items that were the first in our brand arsenal.
We want to create these silhouettes that you will know from five, ten years time, but they've just slowly developed, but they've never steered away drastically where it becomes unrecognizable.

Again that shoe, it’s like the vessel of street culture, it’s the birth, it’s the pinnacle.

Your culture is so rich that you should cherish it. It’s like a superpower. They do make you who you are, in some shapes of form anyway,

so I try to at least weave that in what I do, whether it's through an essence or whether it's in a physical product.

I'm a storyteller by nature. I like explaining and taking people on a journey. 
I'm using the brand now as the vehicle to do so. 
Who knows what else will come? I mean, from a product standpoint, there's so many things I still want to explore.

And I think when the time comes, when that product I have in my mind is created and the world gets to see it, then you would go: "OK, cool, this is why he did it. It has a reason to exist in the world."
