Such retail experiences were unheard of at the time, and before long, like minds sharing similar passions and interests started to connect at this unique store, becoming a center of the Parisian streetwear community. Operating on Paris' renowned rue Saint-Honoré for twenty years, Starcow has become famous for pushing a well curated selection of products and collaborating with their favourite brands to create things with their own unique vision.

“The Starcow space is quirky and full of details, small hidden stuff.” Piovesan explains. “You have to take your time. You can spend one hour in the boutique and you won’t have seen everything.” The intimate and homely atmosphere of the original store offers a quintessential charm, with plenty of novelties and surprises scattered between the latest footwear and skate hardware, while Starcow 1996, it's younger sibling store across the street provides a more clean and minimal look with beautiful exposed walls displaying apparel, accessories, exclusive items and special releases. “You can visit the store every week and you won’t see the same stuff on the racks.”

Piovesan credits the nineties for forming his style, taste and early aspirations. “I did not want to become a policeman or a firefighter, I wanted to sell skate and hip hop products on my own.” His determination came from that passion, which kept him motivated with enthusiasm and purpose. “That’s our personal favourite period, and nowadays we are still inspired by the nineties: music is nineties, clothes are nineties,” carrying that era of influence with him in everything he does.

With a reputation and history as one of the oldest streetwear stores in Europe that now spans over two decades, it is safe to say that Starcow plays an integral part in street culture heritage and is rightfully a top destination to visit when you’re in Paris.
