Two pairs holes in toes

I've bought several pairs of KD Trey 5 viii's because my son likes them and they are comfortable. The last two pairs have blown holes in the toes, in particular the black/red pair started separating at the toe within 3 weeks of using them. Now after 5 weeks (all indoor play) one toe is completely blown out. Older versions of this shoe didn't have this problem.

its hard to match up with the right fit. but soo nice, and sleek. maybe a light grey hoodie with a gold swoosh would be nice to find.
