Although the first design in his longstanding collaboration with Nike—the legendary 'Amsterdam' Air Max 1—debuted in 2005, working with Nike SB has been a long time coming for Parra.
Dutch artist Parra (born in 1976) has his roots firmly planted in skateboarding and started skating around 1988. He was a sponsored amateur (distro flow) from the early '90s until the early 2000s. After those formative and slightly competitive years he focused more on a design- and art-oriented path, taking all the memories and heavy influences from skateboarding's golden era with him on his new journey.
With the new Parra x Nike SB Dunk Low OG, Blazer GT and matching apparel collection, Parra brings his signature style of hyper-saturated colours and whimsical humour to Nike SB shoes for the first time.
