How This Was Made

  • The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
  • In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester produces up to 30% lower carbon emissions than virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of 1 billion plastic bottles annually from landfill and waterways.

  • Good jacket for poor weather but could be improved

    rjsmall - 19 May 2021

This is a good, lightweight jacket for poor weather runs. It has some nice touches such as the integrated gloves / mittens that tuck back into the sleeve and a nice, soft internal lining. The pockets zip up but are easy to access. It keeps the wind and (most) of the rain out. Unfortunately the hood does not tuck away so it sometimes flaps around especially in windy weather. There is no tape behind the main front zipper which means that the combination of a headwind and rain results in water getting through the zip. It could be improved by having somewhere to store the hood, tape behind the zipper and having a two way zipper so you could unzip from the bottom to improve ventilation.
