Backwards to give women loose joggers

I don’t understand why they would make the men’s version of these joggers fitted and then create only a tapered ankle for the men’s joggers. That is so backwards and you would think the looser joggers would be for the men and the fitted would be for the women. Nike is so backwards. I don’t like these joggers for women because they are not fitted like the men’s joggers.

My daughter loves them so much she’s already looking for other colors. She normally wears a large but the medium fit better.
