Previous versions of these shoes have been perfect for long training runs and easy mileage, with good cushioning and support for neutral runners. Even though that's what the Vomero has traditionally been for, Nike have now made it much lighter with less cushioning, this is much closer to a pegasus or even a road flat. I would not touch these shoes if you're looking for something for easy mileage or long runs. Really disappointed. Bring back the forefoot cushioning!

I've been running in Vomeros since they first came out and they've changed drastically from the original sneakers. Prior to the Vomero 14 I purchased, the last one was the Vomero 12. I usually fit into a size 6.5 to 7 comfortably, but the Vomero 12 was a bit bigger than prior vomeros so when I purchased the 14 I went with size 6.5. The 6.5 were tight so I ordered the 7s which ran much longer than other Vomeros and were still tight. I returned those along with the 6.5s and bought a 6.5 Wide which ended up feeling extra wide and as long as the size 7s. I kept them though. I just have to wear super thick socks. I should have probably bought a 6 wide... Every customer services person I spoke to were very nice and accommodating though.

the shoe tongue was too short and occasionally slipped under the laces...aaarrgghh.... very aggravating for an expensive shoe like this. i have worn this style for several years.... this is def something new. nike trying to save money or ran out of fabric? go back... a small difference that will make me choose a difference style next time.
