How This Was Made

  • The recycled polyester used in Nike products begins as recycled plastic bottles, which are cleaned, shredded into flakes and converted into pellets. From there, the pellets are spun into new, high-quality yarn used in our products, delivering peak performance with a lower impact on the environment.
  • In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester produces up to 30% lower carbon emissions than virgin polyester. Nike diverts an average of 1 billion plastic bottles annually from landfill and waterways.

I’ve been buying this style for years and love the fit, comfort and durability which is fantastic. As well as exercise I live in them at home as they don’t bag on the knees and are flattering with a casual top. In line with fashion/sporting requirements the fabric has tended to become softer/silky with each purchase which I’m not so keen on, but grudgingly support if it helps the environment. I was concerned by previous comments on fit, but stuck to my usual size small which was spot on with the sizing guidelines. If you are under 5’8” be prepared to shorten.
