After five years, we're retiring the Adapt App and removing it from the Apple and Android app stores, globally, on 6 August 2024. Don't worry, your Adapt shoes will continue to work without the app. See below for more information about the retirement of the Adapt App. ## FAQs Why is Nike retiring the Adapt App? We've had a long and successful run with our Adapt shoes and ushering in auto-lacing footwear tech. However, we are no longer creating new versions of Adapt shoes. Will the app be removed from my iOS or Android device when it's retired? If you already have the Adapt App installed, it should continue to function. You'll still be able to enjoy changing lights, lacing your shoes, setting personalised fits, gesture detection and smart commands. However, you won't be able to move the app to a new device, and future iOS updates may limit or end functionality, or may completely remove the app from your device. Can I still use my Adapt shoes without the app? Yes. You can manually lace your Adapt shoes without the app, but you'll lose access to lighting and the ability to lace the shoes using your phone. If I select a specific colour light within the app, will the shoes keep that colour after the app is disabled? Yes, your shoes will keep the light pack you selected last. If you didn't install the app, light will be the default colour. What controls will I still have access to on my Adapt shoes without the app? You'll still be able to manually lace your shoes, adjust the fit and save a custom fit. Here's the list of manual features: 1. __Power on__: Press and hold any button on the side of the shoe for one to two seconds. 2. __Check battery status__: Press both buttons together. 3. __Adjust your fit__: Press the plus or minus button on your shoes to tighten or loosen the laces. 4. __Save your fit__: Press and hold both buttons at the same time to save your shoe's current fit. If you'd like to adjust the fit and save a new one, repeat steps 3 and 4. 5. __Unlace shoes__: Press and hold the minus button to completely unlace the shoe. 6. __Power off__: Press and hold any button on the side of the shoe for 3–5 seconds.
