Yo, what up? My name is Olin Purnett, skater, actor, sneakerhead, of course. 

We're here in my home city, Los Angeles. We're about to bless a few homies with the hardest drop of the year, Air Jordan 3 True Blue. Welcome to The Drop Off! Coulter Jacobs is my favorite painter. 

He's somebody who's keeping alive something that was really special in painting before my years. He's definitely documented Los Angeles throughout his career. I thought that the True Blue colourway would be perfect for somebody doing that.

They say this is the elephant print. Yeah. So sick. Yeah, I feel like elephant, all the animals in your paintings. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I remember these as a kid. These are one of the crown jewels. Yeah, for sure. 

They cross all cultures. The skateboarders wore them, surfers wore them, basketball players wore them. I mean, people, I was telling them, it's like people throw the word iconic around so much, but this is actually iconic. You wear these with intention. 

You don't just happen to have them on. 100%. This isn't just a pair of shoes. This is a gift of kindness from someone that I love and respect and admire, so I appreciate it. Thank you for pulling up. Yeah, LA too, bro. 

Yo, what up? We're in Leimert right now. We're about to go pull up on Jasmine Benjamin. She's the homegirl. She's an amazing photographer. She's a stylist. She's very important to LA. 

This pair is the True Blues. I felt like it was only right to give it to somebody who documented LA. These shoes, you know what they really remind me of? Growing up in the 80s with my cousins, and then later in life, specifically with my cousin Jonas.

Because he was such a sneakerhead, and he's from LA, so that's what these really remind me of the most. You know what I love the most about you being on the cover of my book? I just really think you represent Los Angeles and all the different types of people that are a part of LA that make LA special.

And they just all have so much love for you, so that's why I wanted you on the cover. For sure, I appreciate you. I can't wait to see you write for Jay's, yeah. I know. I know, me too. I can't wait. Yo, what up? 

I'm about to pull up on my boy Daniel Darrow. We're at his photography studio right now. I went to shoot in these True Blues just because, you know, I feel like he's important to the community. He does a lot for a lot of creative people. He's always there. He was one of the first people who had me traveling off fashion. 

He loves being the big bro to so many people. Yeah, let's go see what's up with Dan. Bro, what up? What's good? It's my first time here. Really? Yeah, what do you do? I've been trying to get over here forever.

I know, I know. Yo, this is the spot. These are you. Oh my god, bro. These are my favorite joints too. Yeah, I had to get you right. These are the first joints I ever had, ever. My first J's I ever had. This is a nostalgic one.

For real, this is the first one we had. Fox Hills Mall, my mom got me these when I was like 16. That was the first pair of joints I ever could afford. Yeah, to see them like on the big screen, to see them either, and then seeing them like do a thing, it's just crazy.

You know, we literally had no dollars. We've been like eating hot ramen, you know, riding the middle seat. So for Owen to come back and give me the exact pair, it's kind of like full circle for sure. Fuck yeah, bro. I love it.
