On set with Arts and Rec. Take one. I feel like this is me. This is my friends. This is the community. I think we came into a good spot. 

My name's Kellen James and I am the Co-Founder of Arts and Rec. San Diego was definitely missing this...

...just an actual hub to just come and hang out. Kellen is my favorite skateboarder, so it's even better that I get to hang out with him and all my friends. I feel like these are the best guys to skate within the whole city...

Has a different type of vibe for me, it's more of a community besides skating. I mean look at us—it's a big family. I want just anybody that comes in here, they could leave with something that they're excited about.

There's definitely other shops in San Diego, but they don't have what we have. When I grew up skating, the shop sponsor was very important and I had somewhere to go to watch skate videos...

...just kind of chop it up about skating. Basically, I just want to give my team what I had growing up with my first shop sponsor. 

So how we brought skate and sneaker heads together. I mean, it's one common thing everybody loves like a dope shoe. So the collab, we made our own animal print...

...which came about because me and my family, we love going to the zoo, used a little bit of the colors from the sign and it's kind of wrapped it up in a dope shoe...

Whether it's the culture, the shoes, clothing, the skateboards, this is the place that you should be coming to in San Diego. If you're not really going to be surrounded by family, then what else do you have?
