Hi, I’m Benjy. I’m a sneaker collector from Essex, and this is What I Got. I’ve been collecting shoes since I was 14 - I’m a lot older now. I work in the shoe industry, so it kind of all ties in together. 

As you may or may not be aware, it’s the 20th anniversary of SB, so we’ll run through the history. First pair I chose is the Thrasher Blazers from 2006. One of the Pink Box classics, you don’t see them every day. They’re just one of the awesome ties to skating that keeps SB in the industry. 

These are the Gibson Guitar Cases from 2008, from the Gold Box era. Another awesome shoe. Some of the best leather you’ll ever see on an SB or any trainer in the world I think. Nice pops of pink - as you can tell, I’m a massive pink fan. 

Moving into the future slightly, we’ve got the Orange Box pair from 2016. They did a nice little run with the Orange, Pink, Black and Silver boxes - two highs, two lows. Just to commemorate the past, present and future as well. 

This is my favourite pair. Anyone that knows me knows that orange is my colour. Just before the hype kicked-in, we had a retro-ish pair here drop - the Raygun 2.0’s. These are awesome to me because they’re the first shoe that dropped with a toddler pair when I found out I was having a kid, so had to get her a pair as well. 

Of course, couldn’t not include these - one of the biggest SB drops in the history of SB. Definitely transcended from skating all the way through to the mainstream, which doesn’t happen every day. The Chunky Dunkies - I think everyone can say they’ve heard of these. 

An awesome pair, details are insane. The special box is wild. Massive pair, one of my top five all-time for me.

Of course, I couldn’t not include my pair from the 12, shoutout Attitude Inc. These were the un-dyed highs, I got to design a pair myself, thanks to Alex and Dan for customising them, making my design a reality. These were based on the OG Mighty Ducks jersey from the film - just a really special pair to me. 

Over the next 20 years, I’d just love to see SB carry on with what they’ve been doing - pushing boundaries design-wise. Having some mad colours come out, some mad collaborations, really just doing it differently to everybody else. I’ve been Benjy, this has been my collection.
