I like the color scheme but the hat is too big for small head sizes

I ordered a small sized hat and the face of the hat is too big. It looks like a billboard on my head. If I try pulling the hat down to reduce the profile, the hat makes my ears stick out and this also makes it impossible to wear shades with this hat.
