Talking Shop

The term ‘black sheep’ is often used to describe an individual who is unlike the others. Someone who stands out. A freethinker. In Charlotte, NC those same qualities are the core pillars behind the iconic Black Sheep skate shop.

Founded in 2003, Black Sheep is independently owned and operated by lifelong skaters who are passionate about supporting and nurturing the local skate community. The shop has become a home base for the Charlotte skate scene and in recent years, the sneaker community at large.

As Black Sheep is set to launch the SB Dunk High ‘Black Hornet’, their third Nike SB collaboration, we swung by the shop to catch up with the local squad of skaters who proudly make up Black Sheep.
