SNKRS Live Highlights: The Process — SB Dunk High 'KCDC'

"Do you realize the significance of you being one of the few solo, female skateshop owners?"

"When I opened the shop, it wasn't because I was a girl. It was just because I wanted to do something different that I hadn't seen in skateboarding at that point."

"…inclusive projects. Being a queer female skateboarder myself, I got picked to put on this project, became super stoked. Let's take a look at this actual shoe. My main question is, what's up with the pink?"

"Just as a way to be like a, screw you for thinking I don't know, we're women, and we're going to do pink, but we're like, 'You know what? We are, and we're going to make it actually really sick'".

"Let's talk a little bit, get a little bit more about the details of the shoe. The material's profile came from the 'Sea Crystal' and the tonality of it as well. That's one of the Dunks that Sandy designed early on."

"Triple needle stitching on the overlay. We have the exaggerated back tab here. We added some Easter eggs of course. One of our shop employees loves to draw. We actually added some of his drawings here on the insole. That's Jacob. Shout out Jacob."

"We sampled three different shoes. One of them was crazy neon, and then the other two was more in this realm."

"Recently, we're seeing a lot more diversity within the local community and the scene. It's amazing for me."
