My name is Asha Harper, I'm a Footwear Design Lead for the Catalyst Team.
I'm Jessica Washick, I am a color and material Design Director.

He's like a visionary in a playground, it's like endless and the ideas just keep on flowing.

I found him to be very referential and nostalgic, always adding in this thought provoking direction to help just move everything forward.

Challenge us into what else we can do, in such a short amount of time.
The base design of the shoe was inspired by the Vintage Dunk High, in Neutral Gray and Sail.

We really obsessed the White space, making sure that it was more of a putty White and sort of yellowing, rather than a bright, bright White.

We send every sample that we get to Virgil.
He would then pitch feedback into the WhatsApp group and then send that to the factory and they will then provide us with the next set of samples.

Color Design is the art of harmonizing color spaces together and then bringing in an emotional connection through color and applying that philosophy onto product.

We talked about the shoe color having restraint, but still with the pop of obscure colors like Lapis and Chartreuse.

So the idea was to keep the base color of the shoe neutral and then play up the fun parts that were new to the Dunk, so the Overlaces, the Zip Tie and the Rubber Piece on the Midsole.
