Brooklyn is home to everyone from everywhere. My name is Nicole. I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I'm a content creator, a client advisor, a stylist, and I'm a creative.

Brooklyn style means unlocking a new character every day. I grew up in Flatbush first before I move to Canarsie. We're forever evolving around in Brooklyn. When you go out and you see different people that kind of inspires you, whether you're...

...from one neighborhood or the other. When I went to high school is kind of where I emerged into being who I am. That was the star of the show. That was where we were wearing platform shoes, platform heels. That was the time you put on a fit.

The way I would wear something is not the same way the next person would wear it. So when it comes to styling, I have to try to find pieces for certain artists or people that kind of match their style, but kind of have my twist to it.

I'm not contained to just one style. One day I could be sporty. The other day I could be girly. I could do street wear. It's kind of unnatural to feel comfortable in a community that's forever...

...evolving. My nails is a big piece of my stylin' now. When you go around Brooklyn, you have all these beauty supply stores that has press on. They even have crazy nail designs as well.

I think as a woman, your nails kind of tell a story, but it's a simple French that's the classy, your classy, cutesy girl. It kind of shows personality to me...

...and how bright and vibrant I can be. There's so many different people around you to even shape you as a human being. 

Overall. That's one thing I could say about everybody from Brooklyn. We kind of want to see each other grow, whether it's 10 years later, we all still come back and support each other. 

Even if it comes to moving out of New York or getting out of Brooklyn, it's the fact that you started there. At the end of the day, I'm from Brooklyn.
