...neighborhood that I grew up in, just like a pretty overlook. So there I get to breathe in and then things kind of just hit. It's definitely is my space to download. In terms of the creative process, I always start with what is the theme of the event? What is the hook? 

I go into a deep mood boarding process. I take a lot of visual references from experiences that I've had in the past that I just remember or take inspiration from what I see out there. My favorite part, I love the curation. I love putting lineups together. From there, everything kind of falls into place.

Putting together an event, you need a big team. I've just been so lucky to be able to work with so many incredible designers. Restaurants and chefs are artists and designers also, but their end product is something that you can actually eat and taste, and I think that's really special. 

I met these guys, Ralph and Marco, who started Open Market. They have this really cool Filipino concept that they launched within open market called Linggo, and what they're making is like a cast iron bibingka. It's a dessert dish...

...that is just really classically Filipino. I used to have it growing up, and so they're going to be bringing that to the event. I mean, I can't wait for people to try this at the event. It's going to go crazy. I'm excited. I'm excited. Barryo. Hi-Fi. It's like a cultural block party...

...and really the idea was doing something for the Filipino community and I want people to feel like it is like a family party. Just kind of let your guard down and just have a good time and enjoy, and they feel full not only in their bellies, but their hearts and that they can't wait to come back to another one.
