When I first heard about the 95 coming into the SB range,
I actually thought it was a lie. I didn't believe it.
I really like the colorway. I think the pink pop here, like, matching the laces is really sick.

London street culture is kind of different.
there's a lot of different kind of like subgenres,
there's a lot of different styles, so you kind of take influence from each one, you know.
This is definitely a uniform for the city you see. This is 

what you need when you come to this city right here.
I first started personally wearing them when I was a teenager. Like that was like my go to shoe for a rave.
Because like for heelflips like oh you go put your foot back along the edge of a boat.
The toe looks rough. Is that rough?

Obviously standing on a skateboard, you know, this part, like, wears away really easily, having a bit more, a bit more grip on that, you know, definitely helps
Traction.
I feel like skateboarding and sneaker culture borrow from each other a lot,

Skateboarders - you're out in the street, you're seeing a sport and you're kind of looking at a different ways. And I feel like that's a very, very similar thing to what's happened with the 95.
It's like, okay, we'll lower the footbed. We'll make it a bit more responsive. 
The right time to to add the 95’s

Slam has been around for almost 40 years, it means a lot of different things to different people in different timelines.
The first time I stepped into Slam City Skates was

in Covent Garden, I was like, 13, 14.
I started skating when I was 14, 15 and then, 16 17, I was coming to London.
I'd come up like, I got to go to Slam, grab a sticker,
slap it on my board and then when I go back home, everyone 

would be like, “whoa, you went to Slam.”
It's like a safe space
Found out, friends have passed away whilst we were in the shop, found out that people are getting married, having kids, it was all in this community hub, which offers so much more than just the shop.
For the younger crowd it’s 

somewhere where they can go. They can chat about
what's going on in skateboarding. But then to the older generation, it's like a trip down memory lane.
they're like, I went to slam when I was, you know, 15. And that was in like 1992.
And I'm like, bro, I was two years old.

If you walk into my store and you're like, I know nothing about skateboarding, but I want to get into it. That's the best thing for me.
