Hi I’m Mandeep and I’m the Founder of Limited Edt in Singapore. 
Well, I guess you can say I was born a sneakerhead. Imagine just being exposed in sneaker in a really young age because my family run a sporting goods business. I started in

2000 as soon as I joined the family business. In the beginning in one of the stores we had a lifestyle section and was special ordering down AirForce 1, Crotezes and I think we built a following from there. But I think the catalyst for me to start LE

was when we launched the Year of the Horse AirForce 1. I remember getting in to the store and there was a big line, and for me I decided that day the specialties sneakers boutique could work. In 2003 January, we open Limited Edt.

To me everything was new, it was exciting and it was uncharted territory. I think for the consumers, they were just curious. We were located in a mall full of sporting goods stores, Mom and Pop store so I think we stood out like a sore thumb. Sneakers scene was small. 

We have to communicate and this was pre-social media. We have to communicate by calling them, mass mails or just word of mouth. To think about how it is today by just the amount of awareness, knowledge the consumers have today is just mind boggling to me.

Right from the start our main goal was just to spread love of sneakers. We kind of took it as our personal responsibility to be the voice of the consumers and just to fight for the best product to land in Singapore. We just wanted to rep what we love. From basketball to skate

and to hip-hop culture. I think one more thing that sets us apart from the rest was we didn’t just set up one big store and represent everything. We kind of give our own unique take on specialised concept stores. We have a store called Hall Of Fame for basketball

LE Way for skate. Vault for the sneakerhead and chamber for elevated streetwear. The relationship for Nike with LE started since the day I started to work and it has been with us right from the start. In the beginning we were the only a sneaker boutique and it has been so many milestones.

I remember we open the first skate store and we became the first Nike SB account in South-east Asia in 2005. I guess you can say I’m eternally grateful for that support over the years. Hey there, is Mark here

aka Mr Sabotage. I’m the owner and creative director of my brand Sabotage and what we do is design sneakers and streetwear. I remember the year was 2005 when Nike gave me a call to do a project. In

2006 we launched this Nike Dunk SB. I remember launch day at this store, people were queueing up for 2 nights in the carpark over there. This shoe ended up being sold out in every single city that it dropped.

For the first time the whole world was looking at us. I felt that this project represents an inspiration for us all. Hi everyone, I’m Dexter Tan. A local sneakerhead, a long time customer of Limited Edt and

the Co-Founder of Sole Superior Singapore, a local sneaker and streetwear convention. I remember queuing up for many kicks and limited editions including this beauty right here. For the first time I queued up, I didn’t get them. But a few years later when Limited Edt released them

I managed to get my hands on this beautiful Concord 11. Going to Limited Edt was a rite of passage for any sneakerhead here in Singapore. Especially to get that coveted membership card. I even heard of people buying receipt from others

just to get the membership card. I think what’s next for LE is just carry on what we’re doing and continue to excite, educate, inspire. I mean our passion is gonna be our guiding light whether we spread our wings overseas, whether

we just come out with better ways to build stronger bonds with the community. I think that’s what we need to do. A lot of our consumers had grown with us, become more matured, their taste have become more sophisticated. So in step in our LE Chamber store to kind of fill the void and so when there is elevated streetwear

designer kicks, or anything for that matter. Toys, watches, sneakers. I don’t think there is any rules anymore. I think our consumers many of them are parents now and many of them are saying "I can’t find kicks or streetwear for my

kids," so probably by end of the year we will open up a LE junior stall. If I get down to the bottom of it, I almost feel like is our innate

responsibility to have their backs. Not just for this current crop of consumers but also for the future generations.
