  • Love this jacket so much for running

    AJ - 13 Jan 2024

I have a large and am a slim build 6 footer. I could have gone for a medium but it’s nice to have the room in this. The fish tail at the back I’m not a massive fan of as it feels long but I imagine on a medium at my height it would be less so. Dri fit type of tech so dries pretty instantly and is very breathable with all the vents. I wish there were thumb holes since I use this for running but I get that it’s a tennis jacket originally and I can’t play at the moment given the weather so makes sense that it doesn’t have the thumb holes. Nice lengths on the sleeves though. The sleeves are like semi open which gives a nice air flow and keeps your body well ventilated. 10/10 for that. Really like the colour and the branding isn’t a print it’s more premium and 3D e.g. the tick. Would recommend this to tennis players and runners. More of a windbreaker than anything designed to keep you warm but it’s not sold as warm clothing so that’s all good!

  • Not Great

    Bobbers - 07 Nov 2023

The Advantage Jacket. It has a clever name, with some potentially clever features, but i found that the jacket over all failed to surpass my expectations. Upon first inspection, i liked the fact that it had a hanging loop, and that the breathable material had another material underneath it, so the jacket wasn't see through in these areas. Although this was a down side, when playing tennis in the jacket for around 10 minutes, i found myself getting hot and the jacket began to feel like it was swallowing me up. Some eyelits under each armpit wouldn't go a miss either The cuffs a the end of each arm we also a struggle to get over my hands as they need to be a little larger. The material for the cuffs also began to fray quickly as well from the tennis racket handle. The zipless pocket was a nice touch too, allowing ball to be stored and removed from there easily, with the other zipped pocket helping emphasising this. The tennis logo on the inside of this jacket of this pocket is a lovely touch, sort of like a "if you know, you know" idea. The opening on the back of the jacket, around the shoulder blades helped with the jacket not getting too tight around these areas as well as making it more breathable, but i found that i still felt as if i was being restricted in these area. Hopefully the photos i've attached help to show this, partically the first one. Although i have been told i have very broad shoulders. The jacket also overall felt very tight on me. I understand that this is he style of the jacket, but it was on the brink of feeling uncomfortably tight, as shown in the second photo. The colour of the jacket is phenomenal. That's what i like the most about this jacket. It matches easily with other single colour garments and is a lovely subtle colour but still bold enough to stand out. It would of been nice if the swoosh was embroidered though, as i feel like tennis is more of a maturer sport, and this would help to give the jacket a more mature feel. Would of also had been nice to replace the swoosh with the tennis logo, bit by doing this, it would potentially limit the variety of activities that the jacket would be used for, as people may only want to use it for tennis, if the jacket has the tennis logo on it! I would of also potentially add a hood to this jacket, helping to make it more versatile for different weather, helping to keep rain off the face, when playing in less serious games. Even though this jacket is geared towards tennis, i feel as if it would look out of place during other activities, such as going to the gym, or partially going for a run because of the thin and breathable nature of the jacket with a nice silky `smooth finish. I wouldn't wear it skateboarding as i feel as if the fit of the jacket was too tight, and doesn't really suit my style and i don't think the fabric would last very long as it seems very thin and flimsy making it rip easily from hitting the floor, or even moving a body part too quickly and further then the jacket can stretch too! Skateboarding is the "sport" that i do the most, given that i build skateparks for a living, so this jacket wouldn't come out to get worn very often unfortunately. Although the material seems good enough, that when thrown into my car in a hurry, it won't come out all creased and scruffy looking. I would also change the zip. The circle on the zip, which im guessing is meant to represent a tennis ball is great. But i feel for the zip to function better as a zip, the circle shouldn't be in a fixed position facing upwards, as it was difficult to zip up because of this. If the circle was loose enough to move in the direction that the zip is going, it would make zipping up the jacket a lot more easier! In conclusion, it's not a partially bad jacket. It can be used for tennis as intended, and potentially other sports. I just feel as if the smaller detailed need to be looked over again.

  • Awesome training jacket

    None - 07 Nov 2023

Finally received my jacket through the post and couldn’t wait to get it on! First thing I wanted to do was go for a run in it and it was perfect for an autumnal work out. Really nice fit with good length in the body and I like the slight tightness of the sleeves especially such a soft material. There’s some great mesh feature and layers to the jacket which keep it breathable but also warm. I got the green colour which was a nice shade. My only thing I would change would be the collars which are kind of midium sized but I’d prefer no collars as can irate if jacket done completely up. Only a small thing and more than happy with this purchase.
