For the rally that won't relent or the marathon match that must end in your favour, go with the Vapor Pro 2. We brought back all the elements you enjoyed in the original Pro: the low-to-the-ground design and the springy Zoom Air cushioning that helps you break from baseline to baseline, with that familiar Vapor comfort that helps keep you fresh on unforgiving surfaces.

After trying out the VP2 and the Zoom 11, forum members wonder why the Zoom 11 is more premium, yet pros prefer the VP2. The VP2 tip and outsole has that extra rubber cover, which I assume would make it more durable when you're pivoting and sliding off the front of your foot. What I found was the relatively softer and more flexible VP2 made it easier to move in all directions. It was comfortable out of the box. The stability and energy return features of the Zoom 11 made it stiffer and cause you to accelerate forward. It was difficult to move backwards, and somewhat bulky when moving laterally though this was less of an issue. A greater issue was that the stiffness out of the box altered my movement and caused shots to go off since I utilize my body more than arm strength. For a baseliner or serve and volley play style, the Zoom 11 is suitable, particularly for larger and heavier players. For me, the stiffness limited my agility. Therefore, I think the VP2 is the best current offering from Nike for most people. Aesthetically, I preferred the Zoom 11.

Very low to the ground and stable on court performance. Easy to play with and quick to respond. Good enough cushioning and grip on hard court.

Yes! This shoe is great. Finally a shoe that matches the comfort, support and looks of my favorite, the zoom cage 2. Very comfortable worn loose for coaching and great support when tightened for hitting. Please keep making this shoe for a while and please release it volt color!
