Air Max 95 Big Bubble

My name is Camille, I live in Paris, I’m a multidisciplinary artist and co-founder of Amiina TV. My name is Agnès, I live in Paris, I’m an eco-designer, recycler, and geographer. I’m also a co-founder of Amiina TV. 

During Covid, when I found myself stuck at home, I had a lot of clothes that I’d kind of archived away, and to keep myself busy I started customizing them. At that time, Camille was doing a lot of drawing,

and I thought, why don’t we go for it, why don’t we do something together that really represents us, why don’t we do pop-ups, events. There’s textile work, but also ceramics, drawing, embroidery.

Amiina TV is more a collective than a brand, really. We’re in Paris because it’s the city where we grew up, the city where we met. 

Everything starts here : where I started thrifting, where I learned how to thrift. “That looks cool though, what is that? It’s almost a shirt. Oh no, it’s way too long.” 

We created Amiina TV because we didn’t feel represented. So I hope the role we can play is to offer representation for other people who look like us. The goal is for this to be heard by as many people as possible: that’s really my goal.

I always say that when my family understands my artwork, that’s when I know I’ve succeeded. Because then I tell myself it can speak to everyone.
Streetwear, even if we didn’t plan it, is part of our lives. I don’t even remember the first pair of sneakers I wore: it goes back too far.

The kind of fashion I want to promote with Amiina TV is comfortable fashion. I’d say being a visionary means understanding your audience a little ahead of time, and not waiting for validation or permission to do what you want to do. 

When I think of someone visionary, I think of someone determined: someone who opens doors so that their idea can be heard.
