## Fordíts időt arra, hogy alaposan kipihend magad mind fizikailag, mind mentálisan.
A regenerálódás nem csak arról szól, hogy a kemény edzések igénybevétele után hagyod az izmaidat pihenni. „A regenerálódás akkor értékes igazán, ha fizikai és mentális értelemben is szünetet tartunk” – mondja Shona Halson, az Ausztrál Katolikus Egyetem Viselkedés- és Egészségtudományi Intézetének docense. Ez jelentheti azt is, hogy a kanapén fekve nézünk egy sorozatot, főzünk egy jó vacsorát, beszélgetünk egy barátunkkal, vagy olvasunk egy könyvet – bármi lehet, ami neked beválik.

Halson szerint két kulcsa van annak, hogy megtaláljuk a fizikailag és mentálisan is legmegfelelőbb regenerációs módot. Az első, hogy a test ellazult állapotban legyen a tevékenység során. „Mindenki azt hiszi, hogy a jóga remekül regenerál. A laza jóga valóban ideális, mert segít megőrizni a test rugalmasságát és mozgástartományát, miközben a sérülések kockázatát is csökkenti. Ha izzadsz és nő a pulzusod, nem hagyod a tested pihenni. A fizikai kihívásokat tartogasd a dolgos napokra, pihenőnapokon pedig valóban engedd meg a szervezetednek, hogy pihenjen. A regeneráló jóga nem a te műfajod? Akkor sétálj a környéken egy negyed órát, ülj ki a kertbe (ha van), vagy maradj bent, és szundíts 20 percet.

A sikeres regenerálódás második kritériuma az elme ellazítása. A lényeg, hogy olyasvalamit válasszunk, amit valóban élvezünk, és nem csak azért csináljuk, mert állítólag jó #öngondoskodás. „Ha nem érzed jól magad egy tevékenység közben, de jól esik, ha vége, akkor az számodra nem megfelelő a regenerálódáshoz, mert nem nyújt mentális fellélegzést” – mondja Halson. „Tedd fel magadnak a kérdést: ellazult és nyugodt vagyok, miközben ezt csinálom? Ha igen, akkor az jó regeneráló stratégia.” Ha nehezen tudod lecsendesíteni az elméd, halgass egy számodra fontos témáról szóló podcastot, rajzolj, vagy beszélj többet a barátaiddal telefonon.
Egy tanács, amit érdemes megfogadni a számodra legmegfelelőbb regenerációs módszer megtalálásával kapcsolatban: próbálj ki több különböző ötletet, és figyeld meg, hogy a tested nyugalmi állapotban van-e közben, illetve élvezed-e a tevékenységet. Ha nem, akkor ugorj, és próbálj ki valami mást, amíg meg nem találod azt, amelyik beválik.
